Bentley Home 2023 Collection

BENTLEY HOME LAUNCHES A NEW COLLECTION

The new capsule collection for 2023 brilliantly combines Bentley’s relentless pursuit of innovative sustainable materials with expert craftsmanship.

Bentley has collaborated with world-leading designers: Federico Peri, Riccardo Cavaciocchi, and Carlo Colombo – a true meeting of minds who share Bentley’s vision of working sustainably. The new collection reaffirms Bentley’s most distinctive design features: well-defined lines, the skillful use of wood, iconic curves, and contoured shapes.

GREAT MINDS PURSUE ALIKE

When Bentley collaborates with world-renowned designers, it’s more than just a meeting of minds. It’s about a relationship built on a shared purpose. The 2023 collection reaffirms the substance and elegance of Bentley Home Design in collaboration with leading designers chosen for their talent and innovative use of sustainable materials, organic forms, expert craftsmanship and cutting-edge production technology. Each piece translates beautifully into practical, contemporary furniture for the home.

MATERIALS THAT MATTER

Bentley Home has collaborated with Federico Peri on a new table series including a coffee table, which is available in beautiful veneer options as well as in a new Paper Marble finish by Paper Factor. Architect Riccardo Cavaciocchi, the founder of Paper Factor, has created a tabletop finish which is similar in look and feel to marble but created using ‘raw paper’ and natural pigments. In line with Bentley’s focus on sustainability, expert craft and materiality, Paper Factor harnesses traditional techniques using both hand and machine.

It includes an elegant sofa, armchair and pouf in a choice of fabrics such as specially protected velvet, chenille and satin. The Colwyn hemp option is cultivated without chemicals, while the exclusive MARM \ MORE® fabric is made from waste marble powder, for a further sustainable option.

The coffee table and side table feature polished marble tops, while the sleek sunbed is lightweight and comfortable, making it perfect for gardens, terraces and poolsides. And like every piece in the Solstice collection, they feature the stunning super-mirror grille, its gleaming surface inspired by the matrix grille that adorns Bentley’s cars.

Bentley Residences Miami

Tower v2 test 1920x1920.jpg

Work is underway on the first luxury residential development to bear the Bentley name. Offering uninterrupted views of the Atlantic Ocean and intracoastal waterways around Sunny Isles Beach, Bentley Residences Miami will offer 61 storeys of seamless luxury living, in what will be the tallest residential building on any US beachfront. The Residences will include 216 homes, each one with incredible views through floor-to-ceiling windows.

The core of the cylindrically designed building, meanwhile, features a patented car elevator known as the DezervatorTM. This hydraulic lift is key to the lifestyle experience here, as it allows residents to drive right up to their homes. Cars are identified on arrival thanks to an RFID sticker positioned inside each vehicle. A special LED lighting system then guides you to one of the four DezervatorsTM which take you straight to your floor and residence, leaving your car in a home level glass-walled garage with space for up to four vehicles. As you ascend, you will see the communal areas through the elevator shaft’s glass walls. The whole journey is seamless, with no buttons to press and no need to leave your vehicle until you’re home.

To bring this breathtaking project to life, Bentley have collaborated with industry leaders, Sieger Suarez Architects and luxury property specialist Dezer Development. Bentley Residences Miami is scheduled for completion in 2026, but it can be explored today by visiting the on-site sales gallery at Sunny Isles Beach, Florida.

A Place to Connect

Every aspect of the building’s communal space reflects Bentley’s design language, from the diamond-shaped glass panels on the façade, which evokes the diamond motif seen in the detailing on Bentley’s cars, to the diamond tiles on the lobby floor. Elsewhere in the lobby, structural pillars are veined with wood that has been ingrained with copper dust, revealing a metallic finish similar to that seen on Bentley’s showstopping concept car, the EXP 100 GT.

Deeper inside lies a wealth of shared facilities that enable the residents to meet and come together as a community. In the 14-seat cinema, a sofa wraps around three walls – reflecting the concept of a Bentley car interior. A wellness centre and spa allow residents to relax and recharge. A games room offers VR headsets, alongside simulators for golf and driving. A restaurant and a cigar lounge will also feature, for relaxing in the company of friends.

Transformative Design

Bentley Residences Miami - East Unit Living Room 1920x1920.jpg

A fusion of indoor and outdoor living is central to the building’s design philosophy. This reflects the tastes of many Bentley drivers, whose cars cocoon them in extreme comfort, while at the same time offering all the freedom the open road represents. An example of this principle can be seen in the expansive balconies, each with its own private, heated swimming pool in which residents can enjoy the fresh air and East Coast sunshine.

Not only will every home exhibit the same attention to detail that goes into Bentley’s cars, but each one will feature sustainable, locally sourced materials. Moreover, all work will comply with local environmental requirements, including the Florida Green Building Coalition (FGBC) certification, to minimise environmental impact during the design and construction of the project.

To give potential buyers a glimpse into the future of this unique development, a sales gallery has been created on the site’s private beachfront. Visitors are greeted by a stunning Bentley Speed Form sculpture, which is finished in a bespoke colour mixed in the Bentley paint shop in Crewe, England. Inside, the sales gallery includes a full-size model home, complete with garage, balcony and pool. The gallery also plays host to a stunning whiskey bar, in which the bar itself  has been suspended from the ceiling, so it appears to float on air. Wherever you look, Bentley Home furnishings are on display – a further demonstration of Bentley’s exquisite design and craftsmanship.

The site can be found at 18325 Collins Ave, Sunny Isles Beach, FL 33160. To learn more about the development, just click the link below.

Bentley x Dezeen Competition Winners visit Bentley

dezeen design competition nov 2023 1920x1920.jpg

The winners of Dezeen and Bentley's Future Luxury Retail Competition were invited to Bentley's headquarters in Crewe, UK, which has been captured in this exclusive video by Dezeen.

The competition, which attracted over 145 contestants from more than 33 countries around the world, invited architects and designers to explore what luxury retail spaces could look like in 2030 and beyond.

Among the entries, three finalists were chosen as the winners and were invited to Bentley's headquarters in Crewe, along with receiving a cash prize.

"Bentley is a 104-year-old brand. For the last 77 years, our home has been right here in Crewe," said Chris Cooke, head of design collaborations at Bentley, who was also a judge for the competition.

"We felt this would be the perfect place for our finalists to discuss their projects and allow them to see firsthand how our vehicles are made," he continued.

Through the competition, Dezeen and Bentley aimed to explore the momentous changes occurring in the automotive and luxury industries. Car brands are moving away from the previously ubiquitous internal combustion engine in favour of electrification, while manufacturers are rethinking traditional dealership models entirely.

Dezeen Awards 2023 trophies use sustainable materials

Dezeen Group V1 1920x1920.jpg

Earlier this year, we announced our three-year partnership with Dezeen, the world’s most influential architecture, interiors and design magazine, to inspire and support the next generation of design talent.

This year’s Dezeen Awards was one of the most-entered awards programmes in the sector internationally, attracting more than 5,000 entries from 90 countries.

With sustainability acting as a particular focus for the Dezeen Awards, we reimagined the iconic ‘d’-shaped trophies given to winners at a ceremony in November using a cutting-edge paper material, which was introduced with the latest Bentley Home furniture collection earlier this year.

Beautifully handcrafted from PaperFactor, a ‘raw paper’ micro compound that is coloured with natural pigments, the finish looks and feels remarkably like marble. The six trophies were produced with different colourways, making each one unique for architecture, interiors, design, sustainability, Designers of the Year and the Bentley Lighthouse Award.  The sustainable trophies were made possible thanks to a collaboration with architect and designer Riccardo Cavaciocchi, the founder of the Paper Factor company.
